KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Maintain awareness of the different ongoing contracts/projects, conduct or attend client meetings to gather project requirements, establish design goals and provide regular updates.
- Create quotes for clients and ensure full workflow is followed.
Collaboration with Professionals:
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project to ensure seamless integration of the design with the overall construction or renovation process. Communicate design intent and requirements effectively.
Conceptualisation and Space Planning:
- Inspect and survey sites, work on a brief that details the space used for research and draw up rough plans.
- Develop design concepts and space plans that meet the functional and aesthetic requirements of the client. Determine furniture layout, traffic flow, and utilise space efficiently.
Design Development: Create detailed drawings, 3D ,2D, Mock -ups, renderings, and mood boards to communicate design concepts to clients and project stakeholders. Specify materials, finishes, and furniture placement accurately.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering or Similar field.
- Proven experience of 3 years. minimum as an interior designer
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.
- Creativity and the ability to develop innovative design concepts with the ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors.
- Project management and organisational skills.
