Our client is a trading and distribution company based in JAFZA.

We are recruiting a JAFZA experienced logistics executive to join their JAFZA operations.


Role Summary
  • Independently handle air, sea and land freight import and export shipments and cross trade enquiries.
  • Liaise with shipping agents and coordinate arrival and dispatch of containers for air, sea and land freight shipments.
  • Document processing - quotes, Bill of Lading, packing lists, COO and invoices and customs clearance releases for the smooth delivery of cargo to local and international customers.
  • Obtain pricing and negotiate lowest prices and fastest delivery with freight forwarders and shipping agents.
  • Prepare quotes for customers and agents.
  • Prepare authorization and shipping documentation for clearance of the goods from JAFZA (Jebel Ali).
    • Ensure all containers are accurately loaded with the correct items and packaging documentation.


Mandatory Skills & Experience
  • 5 years’ experience in JAFZA logistics, customs documentation and clearance related to air, sea and land freight and logistics across the Middle East and Africa.
  • In depth experience of JAFZA customs goods classification, release inspections and entry / exit certificates.
  • In depth working knowledge of air, sea and land routes to determine the most cost-effective, shortest and quickest routes to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Proactive to confidently follow up with agents to ensure timely issuance of bookings and transportation and deliver time critical consignments.
    • Advanced Excel skills.


Candidate Profile
  • Currently living in the United Arab Emirates – must be able to work in Jebel Ali.
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and email communication skills to handle customer and vendor communication related to freight enquiries, quotations, shipment updates and rates.
    • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize.


Education
  • Bachelor’s degree
